Lori is a freelance stylist working on advertising campaigns to editorial projects for magazines such as Italian Vogue and V mag. The internship involves managing the office, assisting with checking clothes in and out for photo shoots, and possibly assisting on set of fittings and photo shoots. It can be a full time or part time position. Hours are 9am to 5pm. Previous experience preferred. We are looking for someone to start immediately. The position is part-time (three to four days a week) and available to be filled immediately. Compensation will depend on the candidate’s skill and experience level. This is an internship but there is potential for it to develop into a permanent position in the future.

“FORM is a high-end, avant garde design company. We are in search of a great Design Intern for our studio.

The term of the position would be 2-3 days a week for 3 months. Number of days a week could increase pending candidate’s availability during showtime (January and early February). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: researching for design team, light sewing (repairs, buttons, etc), assisting in the management of the showroom and organizing racks for stylists who come to pull samples for editorials, sample inventory, drawing flats in Adobe Illustrator and by hand, running to the sample room for pick ups, handling deliveries and Fed Ex, stocking design studio with supplies, helping with line-sheets and excel spreadsheets, sourcing notions and trims in the garment district, tracking inventory of our t-shirt collection, greeting visitors and clients, answering phones, helping with fashion show production, assisting in the creative part of building accessories for fashion show, etc.

This is a great opportunity for someone that is highly creative, but also very self motivated and extremely organized. The internship does not pay, but can be used for school credit and/or resume experience. This position gives the experience of working alongside a small company, to see the many different aspects of the fashion industry and what goes into the inter workings of a New-York based fashion design house.
