Mulberry Neckwear who designs and produces men’s neckties for such neckwear labels as Jerry Garcia, Kenneth Cole, Ben Sherman, Sean John, and BCBG has an opening for a Textile Design Intern. We are located in the Point Richmond Marina Bay Area, approximately 15 minutes from the Bay Bridge.

This is a full time or part time internship paid at $7.50 per hour. We’re somewhat flexible on the hours to accommodate traffic and school schedules. (The work day may begin no earlier than 7 a.m. and end no later than 6 p.m.) We are also flexible on the duration of the internship; this is a three month internship, with the possibility of extension

Interns prepare and organize fabrics, set up neckwear display tables, archive neckwear samples and other miscellaneous tasks within the design studio as assigned. Interns also create presentation boards for company meetings. There are various formats used in creating our presentations and a number of different skills required to properly execute them. We are looking for candidates that have experience using tools such as X-acto knives, as many of our presentations require extensive, careful and precise use of them. Candidates should be self-motivated, detail oriented and efficient. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator are not a requirement, but definitely a plus.

Requirements: We are seeking a student or recent graduate majoring in Textile Design. Apparel Design, Fine Art, Textile Science and Apparel/Textile Merchandising students/graduates will also be considered.

Interested candidates should forward their resume via email to: with Textile Intern as the subject of their email.

Local applicants only as we do not pay for relocation.”
